Tutorial to make default replacements clothes not replacements
« on: December 28, 2015, 09:04:38 AM »
Does anyone know of a tutorial to take CC clothes that are default replacements and make them not replacements? I want them as buyable items, not as replacements. When I google, everything that comes up is how to make clothes default replacements, not how to undo it.

Why not just download the original undefaulted clothing item? You can try opening bodyshop and make a copy of the the outfit (export/import textures) and rename it. I think this may undo the default action not sure.

And what would one do, LilSister, if there is no non-defaulted version to download, because the outfit was ONLY made as a default replacer?

Yeah, that's the issue. They only posted a default replacement. It was posted years ago on MTS and the creator isn't active anymore. I'll try making a copy.

Presumable you actually want the clothing default that has been replaced?  Otherwise, I can't see why there would be a problem at all.  Unless, of course, we are talking about uniforms.

It's the maid uniform. Sorry, I forgot to specify that. I already have a default replacement that I use. Someone posted default replacements that used the BV housekeeping uniforms in 4 colors that I would like as buyable clothes, but I felt more secure altering downloaded versions than I did screwing with the Maxis versions.

I have a bad cold and I'm not in the mood to deal with it now, but I'll fuss around with it over the weekend.

I'm wondering whether Wardrobe Wrangler will do what you want. :hmm:

There are some that I think are adorable at GoS; here is the adult version. I'm still trying to track down the teen conversion. If you'd like, I'll post the link as soon as I find it.
