Change Cab

I would like to figure out how to change the standard cab into an old piece of crap for a post apocalyptic theme. Can anyone guide the way?

Well, I know there have een vehicle default replacements made, so I would look into that.  Here's a couple: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=363374  If you know your way around SimPE, maybe you can open this up in there and see how this person did it, or at least get an idea.

Here are some grunge cars: http://www.digitalperversion.net/gardenofshadows/index.php?topic=11288.0

Dang, no where on GoS or Psychosims's site can I find a  taxi replacement!  They must exist!

(The link DA gave was for replacement textures only; if you like the mesh, you could easily extract the textures and recolor them  grungy.)

It's tricky; the purple van doesn't look like  the maid van at all and the  pickup truck  looks long er in the recolors!  You could probably grungify the text ure e asil y tho.

Dunno, but to my way of thinking wouldn't motor-bikes fit in better with an Apocolypse hood?

I'm thinking a motorbike (although the sims would sit in the air unless you added a side-car and a trailer for any kids!) or something indestructible like a beat up pickup.

Apocalypse-type movies always seem to have bikes.... old jeeps and land rovers might work, too...

You'd have to make a file linking the alternate mesh and texture both to the Maxis taxi.
