Menu lag
aussieone:
I've noticed recently that when I click on a sim to perform an action, there is a slight lag of maybe 3 seconds before the action menu actually appears. I can't pinpoint an exact time when I noticed this happening, but the only recent change I've made to my game is when I'd noticed that BO had updated No Sim Loaded to a FINAL version and I updated to that version. I don't know if there is any relation between the issue appearing and the update of the mod, but I wonder if anyone is having the same issue or if it's just something strange going on in my game?

It isn't something I've noticed, though I suppose if you click on a sim while the mod is still working, there might be a lag.

One thing I know for sure is this: lag in a pie menu is caused by something that adds a large number of new items to the menu. No Sim Loaded doesn't add anything to the pie menus, so it can't be the cause of any lag, either. In fact, with No Sim Loaded, your game might become a little faster, but certainly NEVER slower.
Some things I can think of are InSimenator (sim version) or SimManipulator with the SimMenu add-on. These mods add a large number of new items to the pie menu, and *could* thus cause lag. And maybe there are other mods like that as well. NSL isn't that kind of a mod, though.
If you didn't anything else to your game, then there must be something else causing your problems.
@ZZ: You *could* be right about that (although I've never noticed it), but that would most certainly be over after the first 15 seconds, once the initial scan has completed.
aussieone:
Hmm, I don't use InSimenator or SimManipulator, so they can't be causing the problem. Would there be any problem caused if I took out the FINAL version of No Sim Loaded and reinstalled the previous one just to be completely sure that it isn't the FINAL version. Could it be that my game is a little wonky and doesn't like the FINAL version? Stranger things have happened to people's individual games over the years. If that's too risky of a thing to do, then I'll leave it. It just has me stumped as to what's causing this. :hmm:
BoilingOil:
I see no great risk in going back to the previous version. Only the AL butler may get a bit wonky near the end of the day, but that won't cause anything to blow up. And if you don't use any butlers or don't have AL at all, there's no problem at all.
So I'd say go ahead and try it. It can't hurt much.
