Creating Supernatural Creature Default Skins...

Ok I have been trying to convert Enayla's Pixie Chalk skin to a vampire overlay, Can be found here http://www.insimenator.org/index.php/topic,90856.0.html . I can get it to appear in the game but everything I have tried so far has resulted in the skin being horribly pixelated. One suggestion I have heard is to make sure it has a alpha image, Which it does. It's using the DXT3 format, Which is what the default vampire overlay uses. Is there anything else I should be doing?

Pooklet has a tutorial on reducing pixelation too, but I'm not seeing the link right now.  It's somewhere on GoS (or linked from there).

Have  you tried exporting and importing the whole texture resource, then fixing up the instance values?

Aaroneous:
Thanks for the link, That helped quite a bit. I was on the right track, But when building the DXT I was not changing the Sharpen option to None.

AlfredAskew:
For one, you should definitely not be using Dx1. Only the smallest, most flood filled object recolors can use that without looking awful.

Aaroneous:
Defiantly not, This an overlay as well which from my understanding requires at least DXT3. Without DXT3 or higher the overlay wouldn't work properly(The sim's skin wouldn't display through the overlay).
