Make Chirashi at home?

After returning from the Far East vacation the whole family has rolled this want.

Can you buy the Chirashi bar back in the normal hood?

I had a look through the BV collection but couldn't find it there.  I'm thinking it might only be available if I build a community lot. 

I did find a mod that gives the ability to cook all restaurant meals at home but I was wondering how you are meant to satisfy this want without a mod.

The specialty bars should only appear in the catalog for comm lots, if I'm not mistaken.

You do get these weird wants from time to time, for example, Violet Jocque (now adult) rolled the want to learn how to make Comfort Soup - despite being Popularity and therefore unable to do so.  Obviously telling me that she wanted her secondary aspiration to be Family!

I think you could probably solve the problem of this want, though, by making your sims' home a home business, after which you would, presumably, be able to buy the required item - though whether or not your sims could actually use it is another question entirely.

I'm not optimistic about it, really. I'm not even sure of the bar being available in a home business. After all, the food stand isn't available either...

Seems odd that the want should appear without the means to fulfil it.... I mean, ok, Violet got a want that she couldn't fulfil at the time, but the means were available as soon as she had a benefit to spare.

I wonder if it would be worth looking in the BV Collection, maybe they sneaked it in there?

If it IS at all available, then it certainly makes sense to check the BV collection, because these specialty bars ARE - after all - BV objects. They're tied to the vacation destinations, aren't they?

Unfortunately, when I checked, although some surprising BV objects are available in the collection, the food bars aren't.  However, since the home business objects are, I think, the same as the comm lot business objects, turning the house into a home business should work, if, indeed, these things can be bought when not actually on vacation.

Your best bet for that would be Chirashi (Restaurant Meals at Home Series) by Morague.  From memory it does fulfill the wants correctly.  Otherwise you'll need to place the Tropical food venue on a community lot or take them back to Takemizu.

That is indeed the mod I found.  I'm still mystified as to how you satisfy this want without 'cheating'.  I'm not really too concerned as I have had this want roll before just never the whole family rolling it :D.  It was a really low value want, maybe 250 so hard luck family you will just have to move on from wanting that.
