ACR controller at community lots
« on: April 18, 2010, 10:31:20 PM »
I usually put controllers like the blender or the ACR controller at my community lots and in the public areas of apartment lots. To get the object I want, I enter a family and change the object model. When I get it from the catalog the next time, the controller will have this model.

Well, that worked with the old ACR controller. With ACR 2.0 the object from the catalog is always the potted ficus (which is fine in buildings, but outside between trees and shrubs it looks a bit strange). Is there another way to (permanently) set the object model, that I don't have to change it every time my sims visit this lot?

I often bury it in the middle of a bush, so the pot is hidden but I can still click on the ficus. It doesn't look too bad that way.

You can also use moveobjects on to cover it with a nice big pot, or download plant pots specifically designed for the ficus pot, or the fig tree.  There are some at TSR, but I can't remember offhand who made them.

Buggybooz's pots are good, and free - MTS or his/her own site.
