Name That Hack?
« on: November 01, 2009, 02:58:53 PM »
Somewhere I downloaded a hack that I know what it does, but I can't remember what it is called and I can't find it to remove it.

What this hack does is, sims go to work in work clothes, but come home and sort of "autochange" into normal clothes when they arrive on the lot. Normally this doesn't bother me, but it seems to have screwed up my secret society members. When they enter a lot, they automatically change to normal clothes.

Does anyone know of any hacks that do this? I tried looking for Cboy's hack in my folder, but apparently that's not the one I have.

The Visitor Controller changes sims back to everyday when they get home from work.  I never go to SS lots, so I've no idea whether it does that, too..... although it seems rather unlikely.

Squinge has a wear casual clothes to work mod.  It's handy if you use bodyshape skin like bodybuilders and so on, as you don't want them suddenly getting skinny when they change into work clothes, however, it zaps some vacation npc uniforms.  So you'd have the firedancer wearing mountain clothing, and the chef wearing tourist clothes, but I just ignore it.  It doesn't crash the game or anything.

I knew it was something to do with the clothes, but wasn't sure what exactly - thanks!

Maybe when TJ has a spare moment or two, he might look into why the VC is affecting the SS members.  It would be a pity to give up using the VC with all its benefits for just one glitch.

Squinge's mod only affects the currently played family and isn't supposed to affect other Sims outside the family.

Thinking about it, I imagine that if the OP simply didn't use the VC on the Secret Society lot, the clothing would be unaffected, so there would be no need to remove the VC from the game.
