Since the original thread is getting a bit long, I decided to create a new one. This is the official list of known Simbology members playing the MMORPG Runes of Magic. For those interested in joining, the server of choice is Govinda. :wink:

I may have the quest too but didn't do much except harvesting. Yes I harvest a lot.

I did notice your strength in not stopping to harvest when we were running back to Pioneer Village.

Question: do you have to add every character's name to your friends list when someone has more than one?  Or does the game recognize it's the same person under a different name?

I was surfing google, and read a news article that said they expect to go 'live' (non-beta) in March, so the new classes should appear before then.

*gives up trying to search on the website for where the new classes names are mentioned* How did you guys find out the names? I knew there were two more but I didn't know what they were going to be. I assumed one was Druid from what Chaavik was saying about wanting a Druid character, but I didn't know about the Runedancer one at all...

Does anyone know if it's up again yet?

Dear RoM Community,

During the last few weeks we had a significant number of fraud cases where certain parties bought Diamonds through the official Yusho account system with stolen credit cards.

All those transactions were revoked by the credit card companies.

We are now working on ways to relieve this issue but until we have found a working solution we have to deactivate the trade of Diamonds through the Auction House.

On going transactions are not affected and will end as scheduled but you will no longer be able to put up new offers to trade items for Diamonds.

The Cash Shop is a special store you can buy better stuff from for your characters using your RL money. That's like Runescape where you buy membership and obtain better stuff and features for your characters.

It's not available yet, but I think they should to test the functionality of a few things like SSL and so forth to make sure the purchases are actually secure transactions.

The two new classes are Druid and Runedancer. One would only guess what each class can do and what abilities they have. I imagine Druid in RoM as Druid in WoW with a bit of everything while Runedancer is probably a Rogue-like class that uses runes instead of spells or abilities. But who knows what Runedancer is.

With less than 2 months away, I think they need to get these classes out and tested. The sooner, the better.

Yes, it will stay free -- the cash store is how they plan to make money, but that's of course optional.

Servers are back up, btw.  I'm not going to hang around long, though -- just finish this small quest I'm on and call it a night.

Based on what I've read here, I may give it a go. I wasn't too impressed with the screen shots at the official website when I went to check them out, so that's why I haven't so far.  :wink:

I wonder what I was doing wrong with Shadowjack that I did right with Connaer.  Connaer can used ranged weapons when he's Mage Prime and scout second while as of yet Shad' can't with warrior prime and rogue second.   :hmm:

Shadowjack finally got his Rogue Thrown Weapon ability available when he obtained Rogue level twelve.:yay:


He is now a Warrior-12/Rogue-12.  Warrior will stay his primary class, he's not heavy on attack (Physical Attack=192/Magical=92), But his defense is good
(Physical Defense=444/Magical=243). Magical defense might need a bit of a boost.

I'm not sure when he can get pauldrons or a helm, since I haven't found them in game yet.

I've noticed that the further you go from the starting point, the better the equipment available at the vendors (and the quests get harder :) ).  You can find higher class weapons in Varanas City than you can in Logar.  Haven't seen any helmets yet, though.  Maybe they're something that will be implemented in another patch, or in the production version.

Projectiles Training is needed to use the projectiles by Rogues as a second class. So that might be why, but I am going to check that out with my Warrior/Rogue when she hits the same level and switch back to Warrior.

I am still waiting on them to release the Druid and Runedancer classes though.  :impatient:

And if you're not a Rogue, don't bother picking up any projectile weapons, because you'll never be able to get rid of them.  For some reason, throwing knives and I believe arrows can't be sold anywhere that I've seen.  So you'd have to dump them in your trunk or the bank, or send them to a rogue or scout you're friendly (or in a guild) with.

Just toss 'em out, if you can't use them. Select the ammo you want to rid yourself of, click on any spot on the ground and it should ask you whether you want to throw it away, and hit yes. :wink: Great for getting rid of useless crap that you can't sell or contribute to the guild.

You can turn in arrows or stones at Pioneer Colony for TP if you get the quests from one of the NPCs with the blue i above their heads.

Yea, but once you're above level 15, the TP are so low it's almost not worth the trip back to Pioneer. :)

True but still free TP in any way you can. I use the arrows from the monsters for my Rogue/Scout and don't bother with those quests myself because 100 stones is a bit too much when those monsters don't drop them often.

FYI for those who haven't noticed -- the servers are going down at 12am PST Thursday (3am EST, who knows what time for you folks in Oz and NZ :)) for another patch/upgrade.  This one looks like it fixes a lot of stuff, and is probably getting them very close to going into production.
