This thread contains the following miscellaneous mods that deal with various annoyances in the game:

  • Autonomous Computer Fixes
  • Busker Tipping Hack
  • Dance Sphere in use Fix
  • Hobby Idle Animation Fix
  • Hot Spring Fix
  • Less (or No) Belching & Farting
  • No Bogarting OFB Toys
  • No Dancing in Silence
  • No Indoors Kickybag - Now included in Play Sanity for Sea or Higher
  • No Shoving from Looking Through Telescope
  • No Swooning at Romance Sims
  • No Whining About Missing/Stolen Objects
  • Perfect Plants & Perfect Gardens
  • Play Sanity Fixes
  • Reduced Playing in Bathtub
  • Social Sanity Fixes
  • Teasing & Congrats Hacks
  • Young Adult & Lazy Anim Fixes

Autonomous Computer Fixes
There are two versions in the archive. Normal and No Autonomy. Only install one of them. This probably conflicts with other computer type hacks. It doesn't conflict with anything in my game though. I'd recommend running HCDU if you have any. Features:
  • Computer in use check made smarter. Also added check to see if chair is available.
  • Sims who do attempt to use a computer whose chair becomes occupied will quietly find something else to do and not insist on whining to you about it.
  • All new FT computer options are disabled for visitors on residential lots.
  • No autonomous turning off the computer.
  • Sims will only autonomously check e-mail if there is e-mail on the computer to be checked.
  • Autonomous socials are disabled while using the computer (other sims will not be obsessed with talking to them).
  • Sims giving financial consulting who have the interaction cancelled for any reason will recieve partial credit ($$) for the amount of time spent instead of getting hosed.
  • No autonomy version will disable autonomy from Chat, Gaming and gaming competitions, Web surfing/blogging, checking e-mail.

Computer Fixes.zip - FT Version

Busker Tipping Hack
Sims who tip a busker will walk away from the tip jar instead of standing right in front of it like idiots.

Busker Tipping Hack.zip - Uni or Higher

Dance Sphere in use Fix
Sims can now properly tell if the dance sphere is in use and will no longer throw a hissy fit about not being able to get in it BECAUSE ITS IN USE ALREADY!

Dance Sphere In Use Fix.zip - NL or Higher

Hobby Idle Animations Fix
Nerfs the hobby idle animations so sims do not constantly do them. Sims will never perform animations for hobbies they have less that 3 points in and will favor the animations for their One True Hobby, if there are any for that hobby.

Hobby Idle Anim Fix.zip - FT Version

Hot Spring Fix
Keeps sims who are not in a hot spring from being obsessed with interacting with those that are, with the exception of Joining.

Hot Spring Fix.zip - BV or Higher

No Dancing in Silence
Nukes the Dance on Toes interaction unless there is actually music playing in the room.

No Dancing in Silence.zip - OFB or Higher

Less (or No) Belching & Farting
Both versions included in the zip archive. Either stops the interactions completely or stops it only if other sims are nearby in same room.

Less (or No) Belching & Farting.zip - All Versions

No Bogarting OFB Toys
Teens, Adults, and Elders will no longer autonomously play with any of the OFB craftable toys.

No Bogarting OFB Toys.zip - Sea/BV/FT Version
No Bogarting OFB Toys.zip - OFB/Pets Version

No Indoors Kickybag
Sims are no longer able to play kicky bag indoors. They also cannot play if they are within two tiles of the pedestrian portals.

No Indoors Kicky Bag.zip - NL/OFB/Pets Version

No Shoving from Looking Through Telescope
Does just what it says it does...

No Shoving from Look Through.zip - All Versions

No Swooning at Romance Sims
Sims will no longer swoon at romance sims.

No Romance Swoon.zip - NL or Higher

No Whining About Missing/Stolen Objects
This will stop sims from incessantly whining for days about an object that was stolen by the burglar, or that you bought to satisfy a want and then sold before 24hrs were up.

No Whining at Missing Objects.zip - NL or Higher

Perfect Plants & Perfect Gardens
This is a rework of Inge's hack(s) from Simlogical.com. Gardens & shrubs will always stay in perfect condition. Doesn't stop butterflies and bees from appearing around flowerbeds. Will also stop weeds from spreading if they manage to appear from puddles. Perfect Gardens includes all features of Perfect Plants, but will also keep orchard trees and crops in perfect condition. Kinda cheaty, I know. That's why I made it optional.

Perfect Plants.zip - Orig to Pets Version
Perfect Plants.zip - Sea/BV/FT Version
Perfect Gardens.zip - Seasons & Higher Version

Play Sanity Fixes - New
Nerfs the following interactions: Toss Football, Kickybag, Catch, Splash in puddles, Snowball & Water balloon fights. Not allowed indoors, most not during winter, and autonomy for adults limited to only with their children/teens.

Play Sanity Fixes.zip - Seasons & Higher Version

Reduced Playing in Bathtub
Only very playful, or very bored sims will play in the bathtub. Also includes a version that will stop the interaction altogether.

Play in Bathtub Fixes.zip - All Versions

Social Sanity Fixes
Nerfs, but does not nuke the following social interactions, but only for autonomous actions by sims: Appreciate…Admire, Entertain…Dirty Joke, Play…Punch You Punch Me, and Hug…Friendly Hug to make sims less stupid about choosing them. See readme for details of the changes.

Social Sanity Fixes.zip - NL or Higher

Teasing & Congrats Hacks
Depending on which versions you install, either completely stops or simply lessens either/both teasing and congratulations. Mix and match however you like, just install one for each interaction type.

Teasing & Congrats Fixes.zip - NL or Higher

Young Adult Walk & Lazy Anims Fixes
Each archive contains three different versions of the mod. Only install one.
  • Fixes the Young Adult walk style so they walk normally, not with a stick up their butt.
  • Fixes the Lazy sim idle animations to remove the gorilla slouch as well as the 'slow spin' clothes changing routine.

Young Adult & Lazy Anim Fixes.zip - Free Time Version
Young Adult & Lazy Anim Fixes.zip - Bon Voyage Version
Young Adult & Lazy Anim Fixes.zip - Seasons Version
Young Adult & Lazy Anim Fixes.zip - Pets Version
Young Adult & Lazy Anim Fixes.zip - OFB Version
Young Adult & Lazy Anim Fixes.zip - Nightlife Version
Young Adult & Lazy Anim Fixes.zip - University Version

Play Sanity Fixes updated to fix one sure bug (regardless of EP), and maybe another unconfirmed bug if FT isn't installed.

I have both Play Sanity and Social Sanity installed.
Even with less than 4 nice points my sims are going nuts with punch you punch me and red hands.
I see Social Sanity includes punching...anyway to include red hands somewhere?

If my sim doesn't know hubby/wife/son/bestfriend etc. well enough to know that playing punch-you-punch-me with them ends up in a thump, I have no sympathy for them, and they can just get on with it!  Fun, though, when they are both thumpers, to see you gets in first.....I also love watching to cheaters play chess together!   :nothing:

Both the punching and red hands is driving me nuts.  It's all my sims do...I've even slid their nice points down to zero and they still go at it.

I had JM's antiprank hack in and noticed that HCDU said it conflicted with tj's sanity fixes so I took it out.  I wasn't having any problems with all of them in but I did notice I'm seeing the punching and red hands since taking JM's out...might just be coincidence but I don't know.

With all the hacks between here, MTS2 and MATY I have just about gotten rid of all annoying auto stuff that irritates me...except those two above.

I may just put squinge's no auto stuff in.  I emailed squinge about a week or so ago and was told all the no auto hacks are compatible with FT...even got myself an updated no auto instruments emailed right to me.  Now that's what I call service. :biglaugh:

Usually, unless TJ has mentioned himself that one of his hacks conflicts with one of JM's, they are OK, as long as you load TJ's last.  The HCDU throws up several conflicts of this sort, and those that occur when I check my hacks folder never cause me any problems.  In the case of the antiprank hack, I would imagine it depends on whether TJ's sanity fixes deal specifically with pranking.

Thanks a million for creating the 'no shove' for the telescope.  I was going nuts trying to keep my sims away from the telescope during the day or had to take the telescope away from them until the night.

I usually just put the telescope on a balcony and lock the door for household only.  The shover still arrives, but unless there's another sim around, they just yell and go away again!

I remember Consort Capp coming over to *my* house and shoving my very pregnant self sim because my *husband* had looked through the telescope at him

I killed him off shortly after

Last time I played VV I had Juliet resurrect Cordelia, who then moved out taking the kids with her.  I had Consort change LTW for Criminal Mastermind, and since he had so few of the necessary skills he had to start way down the career path.  I made sure all the things like fire alarms were not there, (no flamingo of contentment for him) and had him work till he dropped.  But even though he'd get frightened by ghosts on a regular basis, it was almost impossible to get him into the red for very long - Titania Summerdream would keep phoning him up (guess I should have removed the phone) so his social would keep going up again.  (I mostly let him do as he pleased, but he always seemed to go and sleep when necessary, and although he frequently burned his dinner, he never had a cooking fire!

I gave up in the end and decided to let nature take it's course......

On the No Swooning at Romance Sims hack, does that eliminate the thought bubble with the hearts blowing all over the place? I've tried the showheadlines off cheat but it doesn't eliminate that particular thought bubble for some reason. If not, can you direct me to how I can resolve this? I do machinima and it never fails I will get that thought bubble at the worst times.

The thought bubble with the hearts has nothing to do with Romance Sims, it's part of the attraction system from Nightlife.  If you want to stop the reaction, Paladin at www.simwardrobe.com has a hack called Stop All Attraction Reactions, which should stop the pretty little hearts, although the memories will still be there.

Thank you so much!  :thumb: I'm not worried about the memories so much as I am the annoying way it blossoms when I am filming something! I'll go grab that right now.

I actually like the farting hearts. But I can see where it can become an annoyance when trying to film.  :P

I admit I like them too and don't care much when I am writing stories since I shoot around them and I especially like it when my self-sim's love interest walks by and he does it, but in filming it makes it tough.
