Inteen help
« on: November 03, 2009, 09:31:07 PM »
So before you yell at me i have spent 2 hours trying to find the answer to my problem so i'm not just posting with out finding or reading everything for my self first. It's explained below but basically inteen_F unistalled it works (only teen/teen relationship not teen/adult) but i want teen/adult too.

Ok, so first i have these games: double deluxe, Glamour life stuff, university Life collection (ikea home stuff, teen style, university), best of business(H&M fashion stuff, OFB, kitchen and bath) and seasons.

I installed the inteenimator for seasons (no flavor packs). It's installed in the correct place but when i log in I get errors saying object errors and i get the window that pops up with cancel, delete, or reset. But, here's the thing when i deleted only InTeen_F I get teen/teen realtionships (not complaining about that thats what i wanted) but i also wanted the teen/adult relationship and i don't know what or why it works only when F is not installed??..Oh and im using windows.

Edit: ok so i just used HCDU and this was the only thing it had. How do i fix this?? And where do i find it to get rid of it so i can re-install inteen_F?

You need to extract the HCDU onto your hard drive.  The files should be in the same folder.  After you do that, reinstall Inteen so you have all the files, then run the HCDU.

Far better to extract it to Program Files, and make sure there is a folder called *Sims2HCDU-02.00.03* and that it contains 3 files and a temp folder.  You can then right-click on the Sims2HCDU file and send a shortcut to your Desktop.

Putting the files loose in your Downloads seems to make it difficult for the program to find the .dll file, without which it can't run.

in case it shouldn't be clear yet... let's make it step by step.

1) decide where you want to put your HCDU program and create a folder that you might call (for example)  HCDU. let's say you create it on your desktop that's easier... so :
2) right-click somewhere on your desktop, chose NEW then FOLDER then select the name for the new folder (let's say HCDU)
3) you open your HCDU zipped file using winzip. you get a window with a list of the file included into the zip
4) select all of them then click on EXTRACT
5) you have to tell the program where to put the files, you chose the HCDU folder you created under DESKTOP.
6) you close the zip and open your HCDU folder, should contain 3 filse, one of which is the exe file... you run it and see what result you get.

ok... i hope i explained it easily enough...

I leave the folder entitled as it would be if you select *Extract to Folder*.  This (a) makes sure the files you need are kept together (b) saves the bother of creating and naming a folder.

Also, far better to just have a shortcut on your Desktop, not the folder itself.  It's a program, dammit - put it in Programs!

well... it was just to make easier the instructions... actually in my pc i have it into a sub-folder of a folder called z_Sims that's a sub-folder of the folder "games" where i install all my games... which actually not only isn't into the programs folder but also on a different HD... everybody can takes it's own decisions... mine was just an example... that's why it's full of "for example" "let's say"... ecc

I just prefer to keep things simple.  Since my main HD is twice the size of my second HD, and at present is still nearly 90% empty, that seems to me the best place to put things I'm going to use all the time.  I used to keep my game folders on a second HD, in fact, my whole My Documents was there, but somehow I think programs should normally be on the main drive - I just think they work more smoothly from there.

Maybe this household or your entire neighborhood is corrupt. Have you tried to load a different one?
And yes, the Seasons version is the right one.

You could try putting one flavorpack into the Downloads folder.  If the HCDU is working correctly, it should then show a conflict between the flavorpack and Inteen.

HCDU is working properly.  In addition to recently installing Inteen, did you pick up any clothing or objects with meshes?  If so, you may want to back those out and try loading your neighborhood again.  While modders are pretty good at stating EP/SP requirements, custom content creators aren't always that thorough.  You may have something requiring an EP/SP you don't have, thus the hang up loading.

As to your question about whether your hood is corrupt - I think we are a long way from making that decision, so I wouldn't worry, just follow AH's advice.

I haven't installed any new CC since installing the inteen...I do have a couple of things that don't show up that i installed...(hair, clothes) if i delete them from the game will that get rid of them for good?? or do i have to delete them from the download folder too...i don't know why i didn't think of this before but i'm sure those could be why it's not wrking either.

Best to just delete them from your Downloads folder - but if there is a mesh as well, make sure you remove that too - it may be that these items are using meshes that were cloned from hair and clothing from an EP or SP that you don't have.

So I got rid of my hair meshes (i think that was the problem) and it works, but i'm kind of confused now..my teen got pregnant and i know their age will say adult and they'll still look like a teen...but isn't the age supposed to go back to say teen when they have the baby?? My sim had her baby but her age still says adult and she still looks like a teen...will she go back to the teen age or will she be stuck at the age of an adult and grow into an elder before her boyfriend?

You could probably adjust her age with the Sim Blender, available here: http://www.simbology.com/smf/index.php?topic=20.0

Sounds to me that something just didn't get rewritten, so using the blender to age her back to teen would probably put that right.

No, you find it in the Buy catalog under Misc/Misc - it costs 10 simoleons and looks like a potted ficus.  When you put it on your lot, you click on it and get a whole range of options.

Once the teen has the baby, the birthing sequence must complete before the age switches back to teen.  If you paused the game, that sequence may not have completed.

Then follow ZZ's advice for making her a teen again.  You can use it to subtract days from her age (making her older) to get her back to where she was age-wise.

Every now and then I'll have a teen give birth, then reach that time to age to adult.  Yet the body size and appearance remain as a teen.  I kind of like that, especially when her sons grow up taller than she is.

It's part of the SimPE program.

I think you'll find a lot of uses for the Blender...... it has a function to clean and fill pet dishes which is really useful if you have a lot of pets (especially so for people who have a sim with a *boarding kennels* business!)
